Performance Application
This year's festival is based around the idea of (Imperfect)ive Experiments. Against the Odds celebrates artists who investigate how to overcome obstacles. This year we were inspired by Monkeyhouse dancers who struggle with uncommon health issues. We wanted to show how people can make physical poetry out of imperfect bodies.
Photography Application
For the first time this year Monkeyhouse will be curating a photography exhibit along with our performances.
We are looking for photographs that capture dance performance, dance in every day life and other moments of movement. Accepted pieces will be part of the [Imperfect]ive Experiments show at Springstep in Medford and at least two other Boston and Metrowest locations from late September to early December.
